Practice with a high key, cool palette. I was trying to use transparent acrylic though I've already got through a lot of titanium white with corrections and going too dark too soon. Reference is from NastiaOsipovaStock on deviantart.com
Thanks Sandra. I'm tempted to try this with oils as I'm getting annoyed at trying to judge the colour shifts (the acrylic dries darker) leading to the patchy areas particularly on her face. Looking forward to seeing your SP ;)
