Channelling Hepworth

The poses tonight were supposed to be inspired by Barbara Hepworth's sculptures so I concentrated on abstraction and curves. First some 2 minutes.

Then some 5 minutes.

Then 10 minutes.

Last of the short poses was 15 minutes.

Long pose 40 minutes.

Fan club

The model who is also a burlesque performer posed with her fans on Tuesday. A couple of 5 minute poses and the rest are 10 minutes.

Long pose 30 minutes, struggled with perspective particularly on her feet.

Mostly lines

Two 5 minutes , two 10 minutes, one 15 minutes and one 8 minutes.

Long pose 50 minutes.

Twist and turn

Twisting poses on Tuesday. 3 tens and 2 fifteens.

Long pose about 45 minutes.

No reflection

Better photos from yesterday without the reflections on the plastic.

Power of plastic

Something different for the quick poses on Tuesday: using acrylic on plastic (basically these are A2 presentation folders). First one 5 minutes, the rest 10 minutes (though the painting was much less time than this).

Joanna and Peter

Two models today to draw and paint. First a sketch to work out proportions:

Then a water-soluble pencil version of the pose, about 2 hours 20 minutes.

Then coloured pencil about 2 hours.
